
BNP Paribas has appointed Eric Tran as chief sustainability officer for global banking APAC, relocating him from Hong Kong to Singapore. Tran was previously head of sustainability for transaction banking APAC. He will report to Krishnan Venkatesh, head of corporate clients group APAC, and functionally to Cosmin Dragan, global banking’s chief ESG transition officer. He will also have a dotted reporting line to Aymar de Liedekerke Beaufort, head of global banking APAC. Tran will lead BNP Paribas’ ESG strategy for APAC global banking, working with business heads and ESG teams across investment banking, low-carbon transition, and global markets. His role includes client engagement on sustainability, ESG risk mitigation, and integrating ESG into advisory services. BNP Paribas aims to be the top ESG transition partner for corporate clients.
