BNP Paribas announced the appointment of Kate Lin as the head of wealth management for its Taiwan operations, according to a statement released on Wednesday. Lin, boasting over 25 years in the banking sector with prior roles at Standard Chartered and Citibank's Taiwan branches, will spearhead BNP's onshore wealth management teams in Taiwan. Her focus will be on expanding the bank's market presence and driving its growth ambitions in the region. Lin will report directly to Arnaud Tellier, BNP Paribas Wealth Management's Asia CEO. She succeeds Tina Hsieh, who is set to retire by October's end. The bank emphasised Taiwan's strategic significance in its Asian growth plans, expressing confidence in Lin's expertise to propel them towards their goals.
