Zurich-based US insurer Chubb has appointed Jon Longmore as country president for Malaysia, effective November, pending regulatory approvals. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Longmore will report to Marcos Gunn, regional president for Asia Pacific, and will oversee Chubb's overall performance in Malaysia. With 13 years at Chubb, Longmore has held roles in underwriting, distribution, and partnerships in Australia. He was head of digital for Asia Pacific in 2018 before becoming country president of PT Chubb General Insurance in Indonesia in 2020. He succeeds Stephen Crouch, who will become head of government affairs for Asia Pacific. Adrianto Gunawan, CFO for Indonesia, will serve as interim country president of PT Chubb General Insurance until a permanent successor is appointed.
