Citi aims to expand wealth management front office in Asia

Citi is targeting significant growth in its wealth management operations in Asia, with a particular focus on expanding its front office in Hong Kong. Andy Sieg, Citi’s global head of wealth, expressed optimism about the region’s economic recovery and highlighted strong client interest in establishing family offices in Hong Kong. Citi plans to increase the number of private bankers in Asia and its consumer wealth business in Hong Kong by over 10% in 2025. This expansion reflects the bank’s positive outlook on the wealth management potential within the Asian market.
