Citi has named Lin Hai as the new head of its commercial banking division in China, the company confirmed. Lin brings over two decades of experience with Citi across various Asian markets, including Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and mainland China, to his new role. He joined the global financial services company in 2002 as a treasury management associate and has recently served as the head of corporate sales and solutions for mainland China and Hong Kong. In his new position, Lin reports to Gunjan Kalra, who is the head of Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) for the Asia North, Australia & Asia South clusters, and Luke Lu, Citi’s country officer and head of banking for China. This appointment underlines Citi’s commitment to strengthening its commercial banking operations in China, a key market for the bank’s global strategy.
