Citi Private Bank has appointed Hoo Peng Han as director of its global family office group in Asia as it rebuilds its regional team. Hoo, formerly at UBS and Credit Suisse, will focus on deal origination and syndication in Asia South. He has 10 years of investment banking experience, including structuring private investments and advising ultra-high-net-worth clients. After UBS acquired Credit Suisse, he moved to a similar role at UBS in 2024. Citi’s family office team has seen recent departures, including Lynn Ong to OCBC, Jonathan Gan to Goldman Sachs, and Faye Ong to JPMorgan. Hoo will join Singapore-based director Stephan Lanz, while vice-president Alice Chiu is set to join in Hong Kong later this month as Citi shores up its team.
