Fidelity’s group of 2,000 family offices names new chief

A family office group owned by the parent of Fidelity Investments appointed Kimberly Sheehy to oversee its Communities Center of Excellence, which includes two U.S.-focused networks for the ultra-rich: Forge for family office professionals and Finteract for advisers. Sheehy replaces Jennifer Richardson, who departed this year. Forge, with over 2,000 members, is among the largest such networks, reflecting the growing influence of family offices. Major financial firms compete for ties to these discreet investment managers. Created in 2011, the group evolved into a platform for exchanging information and hosting events, with confidentiality rules and no investment solicitations. Sheehy, who spent over two decades at Fidelity, previously led Forge and rejoined this year to head Finteract.
