Indonesia’s Golden Visa programme is designed to attract high-value foreign investors and global talent to bolster sustainable economic growth, Deputy Minister of Immigration and Corrections Silmy Karim announced at the Global Citizenship Conference in Singapore. The programme aims to make Indonesia more competitive in the global investment landscape by simplifying residence permit requirements and ensuring that incoming investments support key sectors like technology, tourism, and renewable energy. Foreign investors can apply online for residence permits valid for five to ten years, depending on the investment amount, which starts at USD700,000 for individuals and USD50m for corporations. The Golden Visa offers benefits such as long-term residence, streamlined immigration processes, and investment opportunities in Indonesia’s rapidly growing economy.
