Goldman Sachs appoints Jaehoon Ahn as co-country head for Korea

Goldman Sachs has named Jaehoon Ahn as the new co-country head and head of investment banking for Korea, effective mid-August. Ahn, joining as a managing director, will also co-manage the Seoul branch alongside Jae Joon Choi. He transitions from SK Bioscience, where he was vice president and head of strategic planning and corporate development. Ahn brings extensive experience, having spent 13 years in leadership roles at global investment banking firms in Seoul. His appointment aims to bolster Goldman Sachs’ long-standing presence in Korea, dating back to the 1970s, with significant investments totaling over USD4.7bn and a current local staff of about 100.
