Hanwha Asset Management debuts Plus ETFs

Hanwha Asset Management, South Korea’s sixth-largest in net assets for ETFs, launched its new ETF brand, Plus, replacing Arirang. This rebranding, the first since 2009, aligns with Hanwha’s Lifeplus brand, encompassing six financial affiliates. CEO Kwon Hee-baek emphasised that Plus will support new technologies for a sustainable future, focusing on products that help clients achieve economic freedom. Chief Strategy Officer Choi Young-jin noted the potential expansion of the Plus brand to all Hanwha financial products. The new ETF lineup includes funds focused on Korea’s high-dividend shares, Japanese state bonds, and companies linked to AI giant Nvidia. Hanwha plans to introduce a new product in October, aiming to redefine investment in leading US stock indices.
