Hong Kong full-time workers get higher pay

Almost half of the full-time workforce in Hong Kong reported that they received pay increases this year. A survey by online recruitment platform JobsDB showed that 43% of the full-time workforce received a 19% increase last year. The survey further revealed that Hong Kong saw an average 3.2% increase in salaries, the highest in three years. An average 1.4-month bonus was offered to employees, up by 0.2 months from last year. It also revealed that 31% of the surveyed workers attempted a job change in the past 12 months, up 7% from last year, due to the economy starting to stabilise and the pandemic being viewed as the new normal. Hong Kong is the fourth most expensive city in Asia.
