The 30th East Asian Insurance Congress (EAIC) took place in Hong Kong from September 24 to 27, 2024, under the theme ‘Back to the Future, Empowering East Asian Insurers for 2044 and Beyond’. Established in 1962, the EAIC is a biennial gathering of over 1,000 industry leaders, including insurers, reinsurers, brokers, and regulators. The event aims to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing across East Asia’s insurance industry. The congress featured keynote presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, addressing economic resilience, customer-centric strategies, and sustainable growth. The opening ceremony was officiated by Michael Wong Wai-lun, Acting Financial Secretary of Hong Kong, with insights from top industry leaders, including Bernard Chan of Asia Financial Holdings.
