Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) has launched the GreenTech Hub at InnoCentre, Kowloon Tong, to position Hong Kong as a global leader in green technology and green finance. The hub brings together over 200 greentech firms and 16 partners, including financial institutions and universities, to drive innovation, bridge financing gaps, and accelerate commercialisation. In line with the Hong Kong Climate Action Plan 2050, the initiative which aims to advance decarbonisation and sustainable solutions. The number of greentech startups in Hong Kong surged 82% year-on-year in 2024, highlighting sector growth. The hub will focus on green fintech, new energy, smart cities, and green buildings. HKSTP said it remains committed to enhancing Hong Kong’s green finance ecosystem and fostering sustainable development.
