Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Christopher Hui Ching-yu, urges employers and Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme members to register on the new eMPF platform starting today. The platform, designed for easy registration via mobile app, self-service stations, or at service centres in Wan Chai, Tsim Sha Tsui, and Tsuen Wan, aims to reduce administrative fees by about 36% in the first two years. Ayesha Macpherson Lau, chairwoman of the MPF Schemes Authority, highlighted the platform’s potential for members to efficiently manage their schemes. Concurrently, MPF members are experiencing a significant increase in returns, with an average gain of HK$13,000, marking the best half-year performance since 2019.
