Hong Kong’s Financial Services Development Council (FSDC) and Saudi Arabia’s Financial Sector Development Program (FSDP) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance financial market cooperation. Signed by Dr. King Au of the FSDC and Mr. Faisal Alsharif of the FSDP, the agreement aims to strengthen connectivity and collaboration between the two regions’ financial sectors. Key areas of cooperation include capital market connectivity, joint research, knowledge sharing, and organising exchange programs and events. This partnership marks a significant step in consolidating Hong Kong’s position as a global financial centre and fosters a robust, inclusive financial landscape. The MOU is a commitment to mutual collaboration, focusing on cross-border investments, FinTech, talent development, and market promotion, enhancing economic growth and innovation in both Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia.
