Hong Kong to host third wealth summit

Hong Kong will host its third wealth summit on March 26, focusing on artificial intelligence, cultural innovation, and wealth management, Financial Services Secretary Christopher Hui Ching-yu said. The event aims to strengthen Hong Kong’s position as a global financial hub. The government is formulating new tax incentives for funds, family offices, and carried interest, with plans to engage stakeholders before submitting proposals to the Legislative Council next year. If approved, the measures will take effect in the 2025-26 financial year. Meanwhile, the New Capital Investment Entrant Scheme has received over 910 applications, with estimated investments exceeding HKD27bn.
