HSBC and the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) signed a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday to support local businesses in capturing growth opportunities in the Greater Bay Area, India, and the Middle East. This partnership leverages SBF’s local network and HSBC’s global connections to facilitate Singapore companies’ expansion into emerging markets and their transition to net-zero operations. The collaboration also extends HSBC’s and SBF’s outreach to local enterprises, crucial to Singapore’s role as a gateway for global businesses in ASEAN. HSBC Singapore CEO Wong Kee Joo emphasised the strategic importance of connecting local businesses to emerging global trade flows. Additionally, SBF CEO Kok Ping Soon noted the growth potential in sectors like manufacturing and fintech in these regions.
