Jared Kushner, businessman and son-in-law of US president-elect Donald Trump, has expressed interest in investing in Indonesia, according to Investment and Downstream Minister Rosan Roeslani. The statement followed a meeting between Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and the US-Indonesia Society (USINDO) in Washington, D.C., attended by executives from Freeport McMoRan, ExxonMobil, and Chevron. While details of Kushner’s potential investment remain undisclosed, Rosan noted that discussions occurred during a prior dinner meeting. President Prabowo has encouraged U.S. companies to explore investment opportunities in Indonesia, emphasising the nation’s economic potential. The meeting marked part of Prabowo's efforts to strengthen economic ties with the United States and attract foreign investment as Indonesia continues to position itself as a key destination for international business expansion.
