Macquarie Asset Management expands in Southeast Asia with New MD



Macquarie Asset Management has appointed Gabriel Ho as managing director to strengthen its investment activities in Southeast Asia. With 17 years of experience, including roles at Dymon Asia Private Equity, Baring Private Equity Asia, and Morgan Stanley, Ho also co-chairs the Singapore Venture Capital & Private Equity Association’s ASEAN committee. The firm is focusing on infrastructure investments, driven by Southeast Asia’s population growth and GDP expansion, with over 10 assets already invested across Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia. Macquarie Group, which has operated in Southeast Asia for nearly 30 years, employs over 1,500 people across offices in Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, and Singapore, underscoring its commitment to the region.
