Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has invited South Korean investors to explore opportunities in Malaysia to enhance mutual prosperity. During a bilateral meeting in Seoul with South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol, both leaders committed to fostering an investment climate aligned with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles. In a joint statement, they emphasised advancing research and development and promoting technological exchanges in areas such as Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, the digital economy, the halal ecosystem, and the green agenda. Both nations agreed to expedite bilateral Free Trade Agreement negotiations, aiming to conclude by 2025.
