Manulife IM, Indonesia’s wealth fund teams up for real estate deals



Manulife Investment Management has partnered with the Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) to focus on infrastructure and real estate investment in Indonesia. This strategic collaboration seeks to combine proprietary capital with funds from global investors to target logistics assets and other ventures within the country. Financial specifics were not disclosed, but Manulife IM’s ambition is to expand its Asia Pacific footprint through sustainable returns and ESG goals, focusing on industrial assets and data centres. Since its 2021 launch, INA has invested over USD3bn with various partners to improve Indonesia’s logistics and digital infrastructure, including partnerships for logistics parks and a data centre platform, underscoring its commitment to national development projects.
