Manulife has appointed Benoit Meslet, its current Japan CEO, to lead its Singapore operations starting June 1, pending regulatory approval. Meslet will replace Khoo Kah Siang, who will take over as head of Manulife’s emerging markets unit overseeing Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and the Philippines. Since joining Manulife in 2020, Meslet has driven four consecutive years of core earnings growth and doubled new business value from 2022, while advancing digital transformation efforts. Khoo, who joined in 2018, played a key role in positioning Singapore as a strategic market in Asia and previously served as president of the Life Insurance Association of Singapore. The appointments are part of broader leadership changes announced by Manulife to strengthen its growth across Asia, the company said.
