The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has released two new guides aimed at easing the licensing process for visiting and returning professionals to Hong Kong’s financial markets. These guides, complementing the five issued in 2023, provide detailed information on licensing options, examination exemptions, and case studies to help applicants navigate the SFC’s licensing regime effectively. The initiative reflects the SFC’s commitment to bolstering Hong Kong’s financial sector by attracting and retaining top financial talent. The guides are part of a broader effort to clarify regulatory expectations and simplify compliance procedures. Available on the SFC website, these resources are part of a series that has already seen over 32,000 interactions. The SFC also plans to conduct workshops later this year to further assist industry professionals in understanding these policies.
