Singapore and Odisha’s Electronics and Information Technology Department signed an MoU to establish the Global Competency Centre for InsureTech in Bhubaneswar. Announced during Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam’s visit, the initiative aligns with India’s Viksit Bharat 2047 vision of financial inclusion and “Insurance for All”. The Centre will drive innovation in insurtech, provide advanced skilling programmes, and host an annual forum on finance and sustainability. It will also deploy a national sandbox platform, leveraging APIX to accelerate innovation in insurance and pensions, and build an investor ecosystem to support startups. The collaboration aims to position Odisha as a leader in FinTech, fostering sustainable growth and digital transformation. The project includes ESG infrastructure development for MSMEs and integrating finance, insurance, and sustainability solutions.
