Bangkok’s The Athenee Hotel hosts the third annual Sustainability Week Asia from March 11-13, uniting leaders in sustainability to fast-track the shift towards a sustainable future. With climate change’s urgency, the event focuses on empowering Asia’s role through engaging discussions on net-zero transitions, carbon markets, sustainable supply chains, social justice, and green transportation. The agenda features virtual and in-person sessions, including case studies, panels, and networking opportunities, designed to catalyse significant business transformations towards environmental sustainability. Attending the event was Jonathan Watkin, Asia First owner, and CEO of Sustainable Energy Investments Ltd, which supports a number of renewable energy projects such as green ammonia in Canada, and solar development in the Philippines. Both are examples of where governments and the private sector are working together to actively encourage and fund such important initiatives for a cleaner and alternative energy world.
Participants at the event explored actionable strategies for achieving net-zero emissions, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts in combating climate change. This pivotal conference serves as a platform for sustainability changemakers and business leaders to share insights and solutions, driving forward the collective goal of a resilient and sustainable future for Asia and beyond.
