According to a recent UBS report, Taiwan is projected to see a 47% increase in millionaires by 2028, the highest growth rate globally, largely fueled by its booming microchip industry. The UBS Global Wealth Report 2024 indicates that the number of adults with over USD1m will rise in 52 of 56 surveyed markets. Meanwhile, global wealth rose by 4.2% last year, recovering from a 3% decline in 2022. The Asia-Pacific region has experienced the most significant wealth increase since 2008, growing by nearly 177%, but it also faced the largest rise in debt, increasing by over 192%. Conversely, the UK is expected to see a 17% decrease in its millionaire population by 2028, reflecting broader economic shifts and geopolitical impacts.
