Ultra-rich population in Vietnam doubles in five years

The number of ultra-wealthy individuals in Vietnam, those with a net wealth over USD30m, has nearly doubled in the past five years, from 583 in 2017 to 1,059 in 2022, according to Knight Frank's The Wealth Report. This number is projected to increase to 1,295 in the next five years. Furthermore, the number of millionaires also grew by 70% and is expected to exceed 112,250 by 2027. Despite an overall decline of 5.7% in the Asia-Pacific region's ultra-rich population, Việt Nam, along with Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore, showed robust wealth growth, making them among the top 10 fastest-growing wealth hubs worldwide. These nations saw their wealthy populations expand by 7 to 9% between 2021 and 2022.
