Vietnam's Ministry of Finance has granted credit rating certificates to five companies, including the newly added Thien Minh Credit Rating Joint Stock Company. The other four recipients are Sai Gon Phat Thịnh Ratings Joint Stock Company, FiinRatings Joint Stock Company, Viet Nam Investors Service and Credit Rating Agency Joint Stock Company, and S&I Ratings Joint Stock Company. They meet the criteria set out in Decree 88, which regulates credit rating services for analysing and assessing an issuer’s debt repayment capacity. Under the decree, only certified providers can operate in the credit rating field, and unregistered entities are prohibited from using related terms in their names. The latest addition signifies an expansion in Vietnam’s credit rating landscape, enhancing capacity to evaluate corporate and organisational debt obligations.
