Indosuez, the wealth management arm of Credit Agricole Group, said it will appoint Laurent Proutière as Asia chief executive and Singapore branch manager from March 1, 2025, pending approval by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Proutière, based in Singapore, replaces Omar Shokur, who departs after more than two decades with the group. He previously oversaw international trade and transaction banking for Asia-Pacific at Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Banking, and will report to the head of wealth management at CA Indosuez (Switzerland). The appointment comes as wealth managers and private banks expand in Asia. Barclays plans to add Singapore as a booking centre while hiring to boost client assets. Indosuez manages about 200 billion euros in client assets.
